PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Wireless History Foundation preserves the stories of the people who shaped the wireless communications industry. Its annual Hall of Fame induction films combine firsthand interviews, historical photographs, and archival footage to celebrate the individuals behind decades of innovation.

Working alongside William Sarris Productions over multiple years, I've helped produce and edit these documentary films for the Foundation's annual ceremony, online audiences, and historical archive.

THE CHALLENGE

How do you condense decades of innovation, leadership, and personal history into a compelling film lasting just a few minutes?

Each project involves interviews recorded across different locations, historical material, and a firm deadline for the Hall of Fame ceremony. The challenge is finding the human story within complicated technical and industry history.

THE APPROACH

Our production process combines interviews with inductees, colleagues, and people who can offer personal perspectives on their careers.

In post-production, hours of footage are shaped into focused narratives using historical photographs, supporting visuals, graphics, and sound. The goal is to create films that connect with audiences at the ceremony and remain valuable long afterward.

MY ROLE

My contributions have included documentary editing, additional camera operation, and interview production support.

For the 2026 Wireless Hall of Fame, I edited the induction films honoring Craig Snyder and Jim Bugel, transforming hours of interviews and archival material into concise documentary stories presented at the annual ceremony in Washington, D.C.

Earlier collaborations included work involving Dan Hesse, Tom Stroup, and the film recognizing wireless pioneer Hedy Lamarr.

THE OUTCOME

The completed films introduce each honoree to the audience while preserving firsthand accounts of wireless history for future generations.

The ongoing collaboration demonstrates how documentary storytelling can help nonprofit organizations celebrate their communities, preserve institutional knowledge, and create lasting value beyond a single event.
